Race Series

The Formula 600 Challenge Race Series draws together the best drivers in the fastest cars racing at exciting tracks, all competing for race wins, sponsor prizes and the series championship. We enter 2026 with significant momentum from the successful 2025 race series. New drivers are joining the series, while F600 cars are being bought refurbished and prepared for new season. The 2026 schedule kicks off May 15-17 at the challenging Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. See the schedule below for information on all five exciting race events.

While the Formula 600 Championship is not directly affiliated with the Sports Car Club of America, we run our races at SCCA events. This year, the race schedule is focused on the most prestigious SCCA events, the Hoosier Super Tour and Chicago Region June Sprints, with the season finale at the SCCA Runoffs, known as “the pinnacle of amateur road racing in the United States.”

In addition to our race series, F600s race at SCCA events throughout the country. New for 2026 is the “Bonus Race” program, which will award series points to competitors who participate in up to two additional races at SCCA Majors race weekends, including Hoosier Super Tour events, anywhere in the country. As described on The Cars page, F600 has a rich 50+ year history. To celebrate that history, drivers with cars powered by the 500cc engines that led the class through its first four decades are eligible for a points multiplier at all race series events. This will “level the playing field” between older and newer cars, and encourage series participation by drivers at all levels. If you have an older F500/600, the time is right to dust it off, tune it up and come race with us!
